Fediaf appoints Franco Garbelotto

The new Deputy Secretary General of Fediaf, Franco Garbelotto.

The European Pet Food Industry Federation, Fediaf, has announced the appointment of Franco Garbelotto as Deputy Secretary General, effective 1 January.

Garbelotto currently serves as Fediaf's Manager of Public Affairs and Communications and will continue in this role while also taking on the role of Deputy Secretary General. In this expanded role, he will support the Secretary General in the overall strategic management of the association, the coordination of secretariat activities and cooperation with EU institutions and key stakeholders.

Since joining Fediaf, Garbelotto has played a central role in strengthening the association's advocacy and visibility in the EU, leading public affairs and communications on key regulatory issues, and improving coordination with member associations, partner organisations and EU decision-makers, according to Fediaf. His appointment reflects Fediaf's commitment to continuity, institutional knowledge and an integrated approach to policy, technical expertise and communications.

As Deputy Secretary General, Franco will work closely with the Secretary General and the entire secretariat team to advance Fediaf's priorities, including safe and nutritious pet food, responsible pet ownership and sustainability throughout the pet food value chain.
